Antique Swiss "FRITSCH & CO" Ice Axe
This is a very clean ice axe from “Fritsch & Co" in Zurich which is engraved on one side of the head. The metal has been cleaned/polished and besides minor signs of wear, the wood shaft is in very good condition. The cotton leash is also in excellent condition. SPORTHAUS FRITSCH & CO. was a very popular sports shop for outdoor enthusiasts and was located on the famous Bahnhofstr. in Zurich. They manufactured and sold all types of sports equipment from 1903 until 1993. This ice axe would make a very nice decoration in your home or chalet!
