Ess started manufacturing bindings in the 1950's and later created the ESS V.A.R. bindings which were way ahead of their time.

The source of the heat used were Meta burning tabs which were also used in various other cooking appliances for camping (even the Swiss army used them). The most practical advantage of this waxing iron was that it was easy to transport and could be used just about anywhere & anytime.

This vintage ski & boot match box holder is a very rare find and highly collectible. Made in Austria in the 50's they were sold as souvenirs for cities and ski resorts. This one was a souvenir from Wien (Vienna). A great little piece of craftmanship which would look just lovely on your fireplace mantle (match box not included).
