As a photojournalist Hans Truöl specialized in winter sports photography & set new standards making him one of the most outstanding press & celebrity photographers of his time. One of his most renowned and unique photos was without doubt, the “Porsche Jump” aka “On taking a Short Cut”, which gained him international fame.

This pair of adjustable metal skates was made in Remscheid, Germany in the 1940’s by the Polar-Werke AG company. Their best feature is the curls on the runners which really distinguish them from other metal skates.
