SOLD - Staub's "ALPINA" Skis (Fully Restored)
Beautifully restored, these 1930's vintage Swiss Staub "ALIPNA" skis are an exceedingly rare find. The edges on these skis were installed after the purchase of the skis which was how ski edges were introduced on the market before later being manufactured with the skis. Richard Staub started making skis in the early 1900's in Wetzikon (Zurich) and sold over 2800 pairs of skis and other "Staub" mountain sport articles to 38 sport shops. Besides his famous "ALPINA" model, other models included "ELITE" & “SPECIAL”. .
Besides two small pieces of edges which are missing on one ski, these classic wooden skis are restored to (almost) their original condition and a great pair for collecting or to add that extra touch to your home or chalet decor.
