Antique skis are popular with collectors, particularly with skiing enthusiasts. Throughout history, skis have been used for both practical and recreational purposes. Our finely restored and non restored collection mostly originates from the snowy climates of Switzerland, Germany and France. These are a very scarce pair of 1940'S ERBA "DIXI" skis and are equipped with brand new ESS "ALLGAU" bindings. The skis were only used once or twice and later remounted with new bindings. The ERBA Ski & Holzwarrenfabrik started making skis in 1936 in the town of Erlenbach, Switzerland. The bindings were made by the "Allgaüer Skibeschläge Fabrik" (Josef Ess) in Sonthofen, Gemany.

These old skis are beautifuly restored and look just great. The Allgaü skis are fitted with Kandahar bindings which shine like new and no doubt would look great hanging on the wall of your ski lodge.

These are a fine pair of 1950's (unrestored) children skis equiped with Attenhofer "Alpina" bindings which are complete and bases are painted in red. All in all in pretty good shape with minor signs of wear but they will no doubt look great hanging in your home.

Beautifully crafted with a sleek design, these Canadian "Bluenose" skis are truly a work of art. Restored to a fine finish with complete binding straps. The skis were previously mounted on a wall and for this reason there are discreet holes through the rubber binding plates. This pair will look great wherever you decide to show them off!

These Authier "Vampire" skis are very rare indeed. They are equipped with Attenhofer Alpina "Flex" bindings and both skis and bindings are in amazing shape. The edges are also made by Attenhofer ("Alpina" model). They were bought at Affentranger Sport shop in Lucerne in the early 1950's. The edges show very minor signs of rust and the bases are equipped with "rail ties" for climbing skins.

These are a great & very rare find of 1940's  (NOS) Swiss Attenhofer skis from the 'Splitkein Alpina Collection' equiped with 1950's (NOS) Attenhofer 'Junior' bindings &  (NOS) 40's bamboo poles. We mounted the skis and decided to sell the poles together as a unique  and very scarce package.

The bindings are complete with original leather straps and the rusty bindings (which could easily be cleaned) give it that extra vintage look. Signed German Trademark Patent - DRP - Deutsche Reich Patent. Skis have been produced by Sporthaus Schuster in Munich, the company that still exist today.

Are these the original 'Fat Boy' Skis? Actually, these Swiss skis were mainly used for skiing over glaciers and hunting (hence the extra width). They date from the 1920-30's  & were most likely made by a carpenter in Arosa, Graubunden. These vintage skis are unrestored but in excellent shape and equipped with Attenhofer "Alpina" bindings.

The wood is in excellent condition and the leather binding straps & boot plates are original except for the toe straps which have been replaced with vintage looking replicas. I found these very old handmade skis in the Canton of Grison in Switzerland. This pair of vintage homestead skis were mainly used for getting around the hilly farm land or for a quick supply trip down to the local village market.

These homemade vintage skis are from the Haute Savoie in France. In the early 1900's skis like these were mainly used for transportaion purposes. This pair is what some ski historians call "A Childs First Ski Set" They are a fine pair of 1950's vintage children skis and poles made by Helmut Richter, a shop in Steinigtwolmsdorf, Germany specializing in wooden and sport articles. These vintage Swiss skis were made by Och Frères (Och Brothers) of Geneva who started making skis in 1907 and in 1912 they opened the first Swiss sport shop in Montreux, Switzerland and later in Zurich during the same year. 1920's vintage Swiss skis equipped with "Ruchser Nordpol" bindings. This pair is completely restored with new leather toe straps made by a leather crafter in the Bernese Oberland.

These vintage Swiss skis have no name but the bindings were made in Zurich by the BELMAG Company. The skis have metal pieces in the grooves of the bases for sliding the climbing skins on and the edges are metal and part plastic. Even though the bindings are very rusty the wood is in good condition. Either hang them up on the wall as they are or make them your next  DIY restoration project.

These stave skis are fashioned from an old oak Swiss wine barrel. Pieces of rubber and short wood slats are used as a binding. The bases were smoothed down and you can still see and feel some of the old wax which remains. Skiing on barrel staves goes back to the 1800's and still today, competitions are organized in Switzerland and throughout the world.

These vintage Jakober skis were meant to go straight downhill and very fast. The skis are 225 cm long! The bindings are a bit rusty but they still have the original leather straps. In 1893 the carpenter, Melchior Jakober opened the first ski factory in Glarus, Switzerland. With his skis, he built up an international reputation. He was the precursor of the modern Alpine ski industry.

These fine antique children skis were made by the "Gebrüder Hammer" (Hammer brothers) in Bad Mergentheim, Germany in the 1950's. This specific model is called "JUGEND" (Youth). They are in fine shape and the logo is clearly visible. The Hammer brothers started manufacturing skis in 1925 and in 1945 their brand became Erbacher Skis.

Early 1980’s Authentic Swiss military issue skis (L: 180 cm) with Fritschi FT88 touring bindings. Poles are approx. 135 cm long, with metal baskets, molded handles marked with “+ ARMEE+” and leather wrist straps. Each ski has a metal plaque screwed on with a Swiss Military serial number. Very good condition. Also comes with 2 "Seal Skins" for climbing. Steel edges on skis may show signs of rust; white paint on poles have slight scratches.
