SOLD - Classic "Ridge Top" Antique Skis & Hickory Poles
The bindings on these 1930's rustic "Ridge Top" skis have been restored and one binding had the leather straps replaced at some point in time. The wood is in great condition for it's age and has developed a beautiful patina over the years. As many wooden skis of the early years, one ski got "cracked" and was repaired with a piece of sheet metal. Back in the days, these repairs were sometimes done by the local cobbler. The tails of the skis feature a "spoiler or lip" raise in the wood which is very unique as we rarely see this type of woodwork on vintage skis. The hickory poles still have their original hand straps but the baskets were replaced. These antique skis and poles will look just great on the wall or over the fireplace in you home or chalet!
