Here is another pair of very old handmade skis which we discovered in the Canton of Grison in Switzerland. They are completely restored and the leather toe straps have been replaced - the heel straps were also updated at some point in time. The 104 cm bamboo poles hand straps and rattan baskets have been replaced with newer looking ones. What really makes these antique skis very unique, is that the bindings were cast in brass which we have never seen before! This pair of very rustic homestead skis were mainly used for getting around the hilly farm land or for a quick supply trip down to the local village market. This combined set would look just great decorating the walls of your lodge, chalet or home.
