1940's Vintage "Rittler" wooden skis

Antique "RITTLER" Nipple Skis from Germany (Unrestored)

These old skis "Nipple" skis were made by RITTLER in Kempten, Allgäu, Germany and they no doubt, went down many mountains. The "Allgäu" bindings which show some rust were also manufactured in the same region and were modified by the previous owner at the time with the heel strap going through the skis as well as adding an extra over the boot straps from the heel springs. The steel edges were most likely added later to the skis by a sport shop and a few pieces are missing on the base. These rustic skis show a lot of history and would look great hanging on the wall of your ski chalet or lodge!
