Antique Swiss "G. BEETSCHEN-LENK" (Nipple Tip) Skis & Poles
These unrestored 1930's rustic Swiss skis are in very good original condition and were made by G. (Gottfried) Beetschen in the ski resort of Lenk in the Bernese Oberland. The bindings are "Attenhofer Alpina" which were a very popular binding worldwide made by Guido Reuge & Cie in Sainte Croix, Jura and then part of Attenhofer in the late 1930's. The skis patina are very nice and it looks like the skis were last used in the 40's or 50's as the bases are still covered with Toko's legendary Nr. 3 silver wax. The bamboo poles are in fantastic condition meassuring 115 cm in length with 17 cm diameter aluminium baskets. Both leather hand grips, straps and leather basket lacings are intact. A very rare & fine pair of skis/poles combination to decorate your chalet or home with.
G. Beetschen was no doubt related to Eduard Beetschen the inventor of the Beetschen binding (https://www.swissskimuseum.com/bindings)
