1940's Antique Swiss Skis & Poles (Unrestored)
These 1940's Swiss skis with Kandahar bindings were put to good use in their day and were probably used as working/transport skis. One tip suffered a crack and was then reinforced with an alu ski tip which the previous owner decided to keep attached to the tip rather than repair it. It was quite common for wooden ski tips to break, and serious skiers always had an emergency tip in their rucksack. The bindings are complete with the original leather toe straps and the 1950's alu poles are in decent shape & complete besides the stitching on one hand grip which has come apart. The edges are rusty, and two edge pieces have loosened from the base. These vintage skis were obviously put to good use through some rough ski terrain. The wear & tear on these tells you a lot about their history.
