Plane on a Glacier
Freddy Wissel a.k.a. the "Flying Hotelier" of St. Moritz, Switzerland was a pioneer in landing planes on snow covered mountains and glaciers before the "Swiss Air Rescue" was created in 1952. He and is Piper plane were well known in the mountains as he would also fly in supplies to many of the mountain huts.
