This very scarce antique ice axe was manufactured by "Gebr. Andenmatten" (Andenmatten brothers) in Saas Almegel, Valais, Switzerland. The brothers started making axes in 1918 and continued with a second family generation until the early 1970's. It has been cleaned, polished and ready to decorate your mountain chalet with.
