Good used condition with a nice original patina & cleaned/polished. 'WERK-FULPMES' is one of the many forge works in the Stubai Valley in south Tyrol, Austria which produced ice axes and other climbing gear. "Werkgen Fulpmes" & "Garantie" is engraved on the adze This tool has served its original purpose. It now shows wear expected from use. It would look very nice hanging on the wall of your home, lodge or chalet!

The village of Fulpmes is considered to be the centre for iron industry in the Stubai Valley and therefore also referred to as the "Village of Smithy" which is also shown by the anvil on the emblem of the village.
