These vintage Jakober skis were meant to go straight downhill and very fast. The skis are 225 cm long! The bindings are a bit rusty but they still have the original leather straps. In 1893 the carpenter, Melchior Jakober opened the first ski factory in Glarus, Switzerland. With his skis, he built up an international reputation. He was the precursor of the modern Alpine ski industry.
